Coir Peat/Coco Peat Compost

While technically a growing medium rather than a compost, coir peat (also known as coco peat) is a major agricultural export from India. It is derived from coconut husks and is often mixed with vermi-compost or other organic materials to create a nutrient-rich growing medium. It is valued for:
  • Excellent water retention and aeration properties.
  • Being a sustainable, renewable resource.
  • Its use in soilless cultivation and greenhouses.
Coir peat is exported in various forms, including compressed blocks, grow bags, and briquettes, often ready for use by commercial greenhouses and home gardeners
